Luxury tapestries.

The Manufacture des Gobelins in Paris was established in 1627, on the hill of Chaillot. In the seventeenth century, the Gobelins Factory was set up under the banner of the royal manufacture of furniture for the crown, producing furnishings intended for royal houses and diplomatic gifts.

Even today, the Manufacture des Gobelins employs 30 weavers with 15 looms. The Galerie des Gobelins, built in 1914 along the Avenue des Gobelins, invites visitors to discover temporary exhibitions relating to the art of tapestry.
